How to Add Meta Pixel and Conversions API to Your Course Website ?

You can easily track your course website's data using Meta Pixel in Course.link. It helps you gather user behavior data to run more effective ads. Below are the steps to set up Meta Pixel and the Conversions API on your course website.

On your Course.link dashboard, go to Settings from the left menu, then click on the Integrations tab at the top. Here, you’ll find different options to connect tools to your site. Under Meta Pixel, click the Connect button.


A popup will appear where you need to add your Meta Pixel ID.

There's also an option to add your Meta Conversions API Access Token.

Now let’s see how to get these IDs from your Meta account.

The Meta Conversions API Access Token is optional. It enables server-side event tracking for better ad performance and more accurate data.

Create Meta Pixel

Lets take you through the steps of creating the Meta Pixel, if you are doing this for the first time. Login to Meta Business Account and go to Events Manager and click on Connect Data.

In the Pop up, Select Web and click Next.

Then Select your Dataset or Create new dataset, then click Next.

Click 'Next'

Choose Set up Manually option, then select Next.

Click 'Next'

Choose Conversions API and Meta Pixel option and then click on Next.

Click 'Next'

Then Finally click on Finish button.

Click 'Finish'

Add your Course website link to the Allow List

Select your Dataset then go to its Settings option

Click 'SettingsSettingsSettings'

then scroll down and select Create allow List.

Click 'Create allow list'

Now enter your course website domain and click Confirm, then close the popup.

Note


If you're using a Course.link subdomain (like yourname.course.link), just enter course.link.
If you have a custom domain, enter your full domain name (like myacademy.com).

Get Your Meta Pixel ID

Select your Dataset name, go to the Settings tab, and copy the Dataset ID, this is your Meta Pixel ID.

Click '1151901296948361'

(Optional) Get Your Conversions API Access Token

Select your Dataset Name then go to Settings, then scroll down to the Conversions API section. Under the Set up direct integration subheading, click on the Generate access token button.

Now Copy your Meta Conversions API Access Token.

Click 'Copy Code to Clipboard'

Note

After generating the token, make sure to copy and save it somewhere safe. Facebook won’t display the same token again.

Connect Meta Pixel

Now go back to your Course.link dashboard and paste your Meta Pixel ID and Access Token into their respective fields. Then click Save to finish the setup.

That’s it! Your Meta Pixel integration is now complete.

Test Your Meta Pixel Events

Go to your Course.link website and take actions like opening a course pages.

Real-Time Events

Course.link automatically sends two types of events to Meta when someone visits your website:

  • CourseLinkView – Triggered when a user visits your course website's landing page.

  • CourseLinkViewCourse – Triggered when someone opens a specific course page.

On your Meta Dashboard, go to Events Manager > Data Sources > Your Dataset Name > Overview to see these events live. You should see the events.

Click 'CourseLinkViewActive'

Note


If you see a red warning icon next to any events, it means that event needs to be verified.

Click on the event, then select Review. In the popup, click I acknowledge to confirm it's from your business and follows Meta’s policies.

Then choose Confirm the custom event. Once done, the warning icon will go away, and the event will be ready to use with ad features.
